Savoury Olive Oil, Rosemary & Garlic Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole-wheat nutty flour
  • 1tsp baking powder
  • 2tsp crushed garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 small sprigs rosemary, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup Olive Pride Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 15ml Olive Pride 3 Leaf Balsamic Vinegar
  • 45ml water

Instructions

Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius

Grease and line an oven tray

Sift all the dry ingredients in a bowl

Whisk the oil, balsamic vinegar and water together in a bowl

Add the liquid to the bowl of dry ingredients and combine to form a firm and slightly sticky dough

Place onto a lightly floured surface and roll to 3 -5mm thick

Using a cutter, cut into the desired shapes and place on the prepared baking tray

Place the tray in the oven and bake for 15 minutes until crisp and golden

Remove the tray from the oven and finish with a sprinkling of coarse salt and black pepper

Notes

Tip: Create your own savoury flavours using ingredients you like. For example - Use finely grated parmesan and basil pesto, or blue cheese and finely diced dried figs.
